Heavy Rain and Flash Flooding Concerns in California; Heavy Snow in the Sierra

An atmospheric river will bring heavy rainfall to lower elevations of California this week, and heavy snow to the Sierra Nevada mountains. Flash flooding, some of which may be locally considerable, will be a concern on the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains through Tuesday. The Integrated Services Division (ISD) provides support to the Western Region field offices by:

providing operational IDSS guidance
managing the WR Regional Operations Center (WR ROC)
managing regional programs on weather, water, and climate
providing guidance on the implementation and interpretation of national policies and procedures
developing regional policies and guidance

The Integrated Services Division consists of both the Operations Branch and the Services Branch.
