Areas of Heavy to Excessive Rainfall and Hot Temperatures This Week

Heavy to excessive rainfall could bring areas of flooding at times Monday through Thursday across parts of the central Plains into the Midwest as well as southern Arizona and New Mexico. Occasional showers and thunderstorms are expected today. The strongest storms will be this afternoon and evening. Gusty outflow winds, large hail, heavy downpours, and frequent lightning are possible.
We have issued a Flash Flood Watch for the Big Rock Burn Scar for Friday afternoon/evening. Showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon, if falling over the Big Rock burn scar, could lead to flash flooding in the area along and north of Heise, Idaho.
