There is a chance for patchy freezing fog across southeast Oklahoma overnight tonight into the mid-morning hours Thursday. Visibility reductions may be possible.
Low temperatures will be in the 20s tonight, which will introduce refreezing of any melted snow and liquid on the roadways with slick and icy conditions expected, which would include black ice. Take it slow on the roads and leave plenty of space between cars!
Refreezing of melted snow and liquid on the roadways tonight will give way to icy and slick roadways with black ice in the morning.
Very cold surface high pressure will build over the southern Plains this weekend. The cold air and gusty winds will produce negative wind chill values Friday night into Saturday morning.
There is a low chance for snow flurries across portions of western, northern, and central Oklahoma late Friday night into Saturday morning. Most locations will not get any accumulating snow, but the best chance to potentially see accumulating snow will be across northwestern Oklahoma.
Temperatures will remain well below-normal and precipitation chances remain low through most of the week.
