Critical Fire Weather Conditions in the Southern Plains; Showers and Thunderstorms Linger Over Florida

A cold front will linger over Florida through Tuesday, bringing widespread showers and thunderstorms, and potential flash flooding concerns. Showers and thunderstorms will be most widespread across eastern and central Florida. The potential for at least isolated to scattered strong to severe storms exists late Sunday morning through late evening across Southeast Oklahoma, most of East Texas, Southwest Arkansas, and extreme Northwest Louisiana. It is possible that this outlook may be upgraded later today for portions of Northeast TX, Southeast OK, and Southwest AR.
The threat for strong to severe storms will again exist next Wednesday across portions of Northeast Texas, Southeast Oklahoma, and Southwest Arkansas. All severe weather modes will be possible, with specifics and adjustments to this outlook expected as the event nears.
Warm conditions will continue today as temperatures climb into the lower to mid 80s. Isolated afternoon showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon over the western sections of East TX and Southeast OK.
Despite rainfall over Easter Weekend, burn bans remain in effect across portions of the Four State Region.
