Showers and thunderstorms return to the region tonight and Monday. The atmosphere has a lot of water in it, so these storms will be able to produce a LOT of rain over a small area. While some counties might see 3+ inches of rain Monday, neighboring counties might see very little. Keep an eye on the radar tonight and tomorrow, and avoided flooded roads if you encounter them.
Rain showers and a few thunderstorms can be expected today through this evening. Additional showers and storms are possible each day through the work week, primarily in the afternoon to evening hours. Some of the storms over the next several days will contain torrential downpours and the possibility of localized flooding.
