
An atmospheric river will bring heavy rainfall to lower elevations of California this week, and heavy snow to the Sierra Nevada mountains. No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday
Strong and gusty southwesterly winds are expected Sunday night
and Monday with the strongest winds across the higher elevations.
Winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph are expected for lower
elevations with gusts to 50 mph for the mountains.
Much colder temperatures are expected for Monday and Tuesday with
wind chills dropping to near zero across the higher elevations
Monday night. Winds chills across the lower elevations will be in
the single digits across southwest Virginia and northeast
Tennessee to the teens elsewhere.
