A cold front will cross the Great Lakes and Northeast U.S. through Monday with gusty winds and areas of rain showers. A strong atmospheric river is expected to move into the Pacific Northwest by midweek bringing a threat for moderate to heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and mountain snows for parts of Washington, Oregon, northern California, and the Sierra Nevada. Fire Weather Planning Forecast for East Tennessee...Southwest

National Weather Service Morristown TN

.DISCUSSION...
A cold front will usher showers out of the region by daybreak,
leaving dry conditions in place across the area for today. However
another, stronger front, will swing through late tonight and into
Sunday for scattered rain chances again. This front will usher in
much colder air to the southern Appalachians, along with chances for
light snow accumulations in the mountains and even snow to the
valley floor north of the Knoxville area Sunday night into Monday
morning. Hard freezes are likely Monday and Tuesday mornings, along
with temperatures near 20 degrees below normal during the day
Monday.
