.DISCUSSION...

Snow will move into the area from north to south this afternoon and
early evening. Moderate to potentially heavy snow overnight into
Saturday. The heaviest snow totals will be in the eastern half of
the region, especially along and near the East Tennessee
mountains. See Winter Storm Warning and Winter Weather Advisory
for more details. Very cold temperatures are also expected this
weekend with wind chills in the single digits for most valley
locations. Wind Chills down to -20F are expected across the
highest elevations. See Extreme Cold Warning and Cold Weather
Advisory products for more details. Winds will gust up to 35 mph
on Saturday.
