This period of dangerous cold temperatures continues until Wednesday. Low temperatures Tuesday night through Wednesday morning will drop into the single digits areawide. A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for these very cold temperatures. Protect your pets and pipes, and dress warmly!
Exposure to the cold affects everyone, but certain groups are more vulnerable to most, including newborns, the elderly, those with chronic illness, outdoor workers, and the unhoused. During this period of extreme cold, dress in layers and cover exposed skin. Limit your time outdoors, and be sure to check on your family, friends, and neighbors.
