Heavy Rain and Flash Flooding Concerns in California; Heavy Snow in the Sierra

An atmospheric river will bring heavy rainfall to lower elevations of California this week, and heavy snow to the Sierra Nevada mountains. Flash flooding, some of which may be locally considerable, will be a concern on the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains through Tuesday. Significant Tornado Events or Tornado Outbreaks

The April 27-28, 1912 Tornado Outbreak - This tornado outbreak produced many strong to violent tornadoes mainly in western and central Oklahoma, but included an F4 tornado which plowed through portions of Hardeman County in western north Texas.

The April 10, 1979 Red River Tornado Outbreak . This outbreak included a tornado which devastated parts of Wichita Falls, Texas, and was the most costly tornado until the May 3, 1999 Bridge Creek/Moore/OKC Area tornado.
