This tornado developed 3 miles north-northwest of Tupelo in Coal County and moved to the northeast. Another second tornado developed 1 mile to the north of the first tornado and moved to the southeast. These tornadoes eventually merged 3 miles north of Tupelo. After the merger, the tornado grew rapidly to F3 intensity and moved east northeast along a 12-mile path. Twelve homes were damaged or destroyed, numerous barns and sheds were destroyed, as well as several trucks and a recreational vehicle, which was rolled about 2 blocks by the winds. There was only 1 injury. |

This tornado formed 4 miles southeast of Coalgate at 4:25 AM CST and tracked northeastward for 8 miles before crossing into northwest Atoka County at 4:34 AM CST. The tornado then continued for another 5 miles before dissipating at 4:40 AM CST. In Coal County, 1 fatality and injuries to another person occurred when a mobile home was thrown approximately 200 yards and disintegrated, 4 miles east of Coalgate. In addition, a well-constructed frame home suffered severe roof damage and exterior wall damage in extreme eastern Coal County. In Atoka County, minor roof damage was sustained to a mobile home, and numerous trees were damaged before the tornado lifted. |

The tornado formed near US-377/OK-99 in northern Johnston County about 4 miles south of Connerville. The tornado damage trees and power poles, and caused roof damage to a home as it crossed Tower Road. Passing Deadman Spring Road, the tornado destroyed a modular home where the fatality occurred. A truck parked at this house was carried 250 yards to the east. The tornado continued moving east-northeast with more tree damage, and light damage to a couple of houses at the edge of the tornado path. Fortunately, as the tornado had weakened as it approached the town of Bromide with only light tree damage observed there. From about 1.25 miles west of Bromide to where it dissipated just east of Bromide, the tornado moved down the Johnston- Coal county line affecting both counties. The center line of the tornado moved into Coal County in Bromide. Only light tree damage was observed in and near Bromide. |

The severe weather that occurred on May 18, 2019 was at the beginning of a very active period, and started with a complex of thunderstorms that grew upscale, producing wind and tornadoes in the morning, and then finished with isolated supercells producing large hail across northern Oklahoma. A brief QLCS tornado caused damage at a natural gas production facility that was under construction about 8 miles north-northeast of Coalgate. Multiple large shipping containers were blown over and light frame structures were damaged. Flying debris damaged numerous vehicles and injured 3 people. |
