Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Severe storms are likely across the northwest portions of the area Wednesday afternoon and evening. Severe storms are possible across the west central to northeast portions of the area Wednesday afternoon and evening. Damaging wind gusts, hail and tornadoes will be possible with the storms.
Strong winds are possible across the area Wednesday afternoon. Gusts from 30-35 mph are possible.
Severe storms will be possible Thursday afternoon and evening along and northwest of a line from Winnsboro, Louisiana to Eupora, Mississippi. Damaging wind gusts and hail will be the main threats.
