A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Based on the Climate Prediction Center’s spring outlook (Mar-May), North and Central Georgia has nearly a 50% chance for above normal temperatures. North Georgia has an equal chance for above, below, or near normal precipitation, while the southern portion of Central Georgia has about a 35% chance for below normal amounts.
