...HIGH FIRE DANGER CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING FOR
NORTH GEORGIA DUE TO LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...

A RED FLAG WARNING is in effect for far north Georgia through
early this evening due to extremely dry fuels, low humidity, and
gusty winds. RH values will drop to 20-25% and SSE winds increase
to around 10-15 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph during the
afternoon. A Fire Danger Statement is in effect for the remainder
of the area through this evening. Min RH values will fall to
around 20-25% with SSE winds at around 8-12 mph with gusts up to
20 mph. On Monday, min RH values will be slightly higher at 25-
30% with winds weakening and turning more to the SSW at 5-8mph
with gusts up to 20mph in the north and up to 15 mph elsewhere.
Transport winds out of the SSW will be around 8-11 mph in
southern areas and 12-18 mph in northern areas. Mixing heights
peak at 4-6kft each afternoon. Dry and very warm conditions will
continue throughout the upcoming week.
