Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central Georgia

At this time, relative humidity is forecast to remain above 25%
through Monday, but do want to highlight that values around 30%
are forecast across parts of east-central Georgia this afternoon
and again tomorrow (Sunday) across parts of north and central
Georgia. 20-foot winds will be out of the west at 5-10 mph this
afternoon.

Rain will push into central Georgia late this afternoon/early
this evening, persisting into the overnight hours and pushing as
far north as the I-85 corridor. A transition to snow or a
rain/snow mix is becoming increasingly likely south of the
I-85 corridor between around 4 AM and 8 AM Sunday. The result
will be snow accumulations ranging from a trace amount to 1 inch.
Portions of middle Georgia and central Georgia may receive as
much as 2 to 3 inches. The main time window for
consistent/impactful snowfall is around 6 AM to 11 AM.
Precipitation will end by early afternoon.

20-foot winds will be out of the west-northwest at 7-12 mph
tomorrow with gusts to around 20 mph. Winds will be similar
speed-wise and direction-wise on Monday, with relative humidity
bottoming out between 25% and 35%.
