226 PM EDT Sat May 9 2026

.DISCUSSION...

No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values and winds will remain outside of
critical thresholds.

Rainfall Saturday into Sunday is expected to bring an additional
0.5- 1.5" of rain for the fire zones south of I-20; with a
majority of the heaviest rainfall south of a line from Columbus
to Macon. Northern fire zones will not see any meaningful precip
until Monday when the next front comes in.

Minimum RH values across the north today will fall into the mid
40% range with WSW winds at 5-10 mph. A few gusts to 20 mph are
possible along ridgetops and the highest peaks of NE Georgia.
