Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central Georgia
National Weather Service Peachtree City GA
226 PM EDT Sun May 31 2026

.DISCUSSION...

No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values and winds will remain outside of
critical thresholds.

A surface front will be the focus for more showers and
thunderstorms through the afternoon mainly across Central
Georgia. Little to slow movement of storms may contribute to
localized flooding concerns through the afternoon. Any storm will
be capable of producing 1-2+ inches of rainfall over any
location. Minimum relative humidity will remain above 70% this
afternoon. Winds will favor an east/southeast direction at
5-10 MPH. Gusty erratic winds will be possible near any
thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy skies through the day, particularly
across North Georgia will limit mixing heights to 1-2kft. Light
winds and lingering moisture will contribute to low clouds and
patchy fog by Monday morning.
