...HIGH FIRE DANGER CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING FOR
NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA DUE TO LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITIES...

A Fire Danger Statement is in effect for this afternoon and
evening across the area due to very dry fuels and low relative
humidity values falling to 25-30% in northern districts, and 18-
22% in southern districts. 20 ft winds will be around 3-5 mph and
variable, with transport winds of 5-10 mph out of the W-NW in
northern districts, and out of the E-NE in southern districts. On
Wednesday, min RH will again range from 20-30%, with 20 ft winds
out of the W-SW at 4-8 mph. Transport winds out of the W-SW
increase to 12-16 mph across northern districts, and 5-10 mph in
southern districts. Mixing heights peak at 5-7kft today, and over
9kft on Wednesday. Dry conditions will persist until rain chances
increase Saturday. Please continue to monitor the forecast and
monitor all local burn bans.
