Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central Georgia
National Weather Service Peachtree City GA
226 PM EDT Tue May 12 2026

.DISCUSSION...

No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values and winds will remain outside of
critical thresholds.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible today across the
far southern fire zones, but rainfall should be limited to less
than a tenth of an inch. Minimum RH will be in the mid to upper
40s;though the zones across the far south along the stationary
front won`t fall below 60%. Winds will be out of the northeast
today around 10 mph; with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Transport winds will remain out of the east for the next 24 hours
at around 10mph. They could become light and variable during the
overnight hours but should pick up again after sunrise. Mixing
heights to range from 4 to 7kft for all but the southern counties
where they may only reach 3kft this afternoon given the ongoing
weather activity.
