Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north and central Georgia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight...

Snow showers could develop in far north Georgia after 1 AM on
Wednesday. Any accumulations before sunrise should be limited to a
half an inch or less.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday...

A light rain snow mix is anticipated in far north Georgia on
Wednesday. Accumulations are most likely before noon, but some
snow shower activity could linger into the evening hours. Total
snow accumulations of half an inch or less are expected below 2500
ft, with localized amounts near one inch possible above 2500 ft.
Slick roadways may impact travel in the region, especially
Wednesday morning.
