A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Fort Benning Becomes StormReady
On February 27, 2013, Fort Benning in west central Georgia became StormReady! This was the second military base in the NWS Peachtree City forecast area to earn this recognition - Robins Air Force Base was the first. The StormReady program helps communities with the communication and safety skills needed to save lives and property, before and during an event.
