A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. A severe thunderstorm exhibiting a strong rotational signature on the WFO Peachtree City WSR-88D radar moved across eastern Coweta County on the evening of Wednesday May 7, 2003, from approximately 7:30 through 8:00 PM EDT. After the storm moved through, reports of damage were received. On Thursday May 8, 2003, with the assistance of the Civil Air Patrol, a short aerial survey was conducted. All significant damage was found in the Lower Fayetteville Road and SummerGrove Subdivision area.
