Another day of warm, breezy and dry conditions are expected today. Despite scattered upper-level clouds, high temperatures in the afternoon will range from 10 to 20 degrees above normal (in the 70s and 80s). Breezy south winds gusting up to 30 mph and low humidity will make for elevated fire weather concerns, particularly west of US-281.
Continued warm, dry and breezy conditions will bring elevated fire weather concerns to much of North and Central Texas through Thursday. The greatest risk area will be locations west of the I-35 corridor on Thursday afternoon where afternoon humidity will be less than 20% and winds will be sustained out of the NW at around 15 mph.
Heading into this weekend we are expecting a cooling trend, with highs on Friday 5 to 10 degrees cooler than what is expected for the middle part of this week. A reinforcing shot of cooler air will arrive sometime on Saturday, bringing morning lows in the 30s for North and Central Texas on Sunday morning and highs near average: in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Most will remain dry this weekend, though a few isolated rain showers can't be ruled out for portions of East Texas.
