Cold, cloudy, and damp conditions will persist through much of the day as rain and drizzle linger across North and Central Texas. Highs will only reach the 40s, and a chilly north wind will keep it feeling even colder. Rain will gradually diminish from west to east later this afternoon and evening.
A cool start to the weekend will give way to mild afternoons with plenty of sunshine. Morning lows will dip into the 30s and 40s, but highs will climb into the 50s and 60s each day. A weak cold front arrives late Saturday into Sunday but it won't bring any rain, just slightly cooler temperatures to finish the weekend.
