Rain and isolated storms move in from the west today before a lull in coverage this evening. Showers and storms then increase in coverage overnight into Tuesday morning. Highs today will range from the low 60s out west to low/mid 70s out east where it will be drier and sunnier. Rain amounts will mostly be around a tenth to half an inch, with isolated totals around an inch in Central TX.
Tuesday will be rainy with occasional storms and highs only getting into the mid 60s. The highest rain chances will be in Central Texas. Additional rain amounts will be mostly less than half an inch, with isolated higher amounts where storms occur. Rain chances linger for Central and East TX Tuesday night with lows in the 50s areawide.
Seasonably warm weather is expected to return by Thursday and persist into next weekend. Each day carries a low-end chance of storms, which will be associated with a stalling front and a dryline. We are monitoring the potential for a few severe storms; however, widespread severe weather is not anticipated at this time.
