Another cold front will approach our region on Sunday with widespread showers and storms developing across portions of North and Central Texas in the afternoon and evening. There will be a threat for severe storms with large hail and damaging winds and the main threats. Locally heavy rain will also be a threat with a few spots potentially receiving up to 2-3". Forecast details will continue to be adjusted as new data arrives. Keep an eye on the forecast, especially if you have outdoor plans Sunday!
Isolated storms are possible in the Brazos Valley and East TX Saturday afternoon with storm chances at 10-20%. A decaying complex of storms may approach the Red River Saturday night, but at this time the best coverage of storms and potential for severe weather is expected to remain north of our area. Small hail and gusty winds will be possible with some of the stronger storms.
Warm and dry conditions are expected next week with highs climbing up into the upper 80s and 90s by mid to late week. Little to no precipitation is expected. Breezy afternoon conditions are expected Thursday and Friday, with wind gusts up to around 25 mph.
