Tracking Severe Thunderstorms and Excessive Rainfall in the Southern U.S.; Winter Storm to Impact the Northern U.S.

A storm system will shift from eastern Texas into the lower Mississippi Valley Monday with additional threats of severe thunderstorms and heavy to excessive rainfall which may bring flooding. Our next storm system will impact the region this weekend with multiple rounds of rain starting Friday and continue through early next week. Saturday night, a strong cold front looks to move through the area from north to south, bringing in well below normal temperatures for this time of year. Many will see highs in the 40s for the start of next week, with morning lows potentially into the upper 20s!
After a chilly start of the day with lows in the 30s and 40s, dry and pleasant weather conditions are expected on Thanksgiving Day with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Light east-southeast winds with mostly sunny skies!
A cool Wednesday is expected across the region with highs largely in the mid to upper 50s. Dry air will keep any precipitation well away from the area. Winds will be breezy during the morning, decreasing during the day.
