Heavy Rain and Flash Flooding Concerns in California; Heavy Snow in the Sierra

An atmospheric river will bring heavy rainfall to lower elevations of California this week, and heavy snow to the Sierra Nevada mountains. Flash flooding, some of which may be locally considerable, will be a concern on the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains through Tuesday. Continued anomalous warmth persists across North and Central Texas. Most will see highs on Christmas day into the low 80s yet again. This will likely tie, or come within 1 or 2 degrees of the current daily records at DFW and Waco. If you're looking for a white Christmas, maybe try Yukon??
