Warm, humid and windy conditions are expected today with highs of 85 to 90 degrees. Winds will be out of the south at 20 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Most areas will be rain-free, but an isolated storm or two may occur this afternoon and evening.
There is a chance for thunderstorms to develop near a dryline in western North Texas late Monday afternoon. If any storms are able to develop, they will be capable of becoming severe with hail and wind hazards.
More widespread shower and thunderstorm activity is expected Tuesday and Wednesday with the arrival of a cold front. Some strong to severe thunderstorms are possible each day, and the flooding potential may also increase on Wednesday after multiple rounds of rainfall.
An unsettled weather pattern will remain in place late next week into next weekend. It will not be raining the entire time, but there will be daily chances for additional showers and thunderstorms Thursday through Saturday while temperature remain below normal.
