Continued anomalous warmth persists across North and Central Texas. Most will see highs on Christmas day into the low 80s yet again. This will likely tie, or come within 1 or 2 degrees of the current daily records at DFW and Waco. If you're looking for a white Christmas, maybe try Yukon??
A strong cold front on Sunday will finally bring the potential for scattered showers and an end to this anomalous late December warmth. Before the front, expect temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s each afternoon. Sunday, due to the front not arriving until later in the afternoon, temperatures still look to climb well into the 70s. However, temperatures will drop as much as 50 degrees behind the front with morning lows near or below freezing on Monday. Highs Monday will also likely be below average, struggling to make it into the mid 40s!
