There is a Level 1 of 5 (marginal) risk for severe thunderstorms from 3 pm through 8 pm tonight for all of Central Alabama. Damaging winds up to 60 mph will be the main threat.
There is a Level 1 of 5 (marginal) risk for severe thunderstorms across the southeast portions of Central Alabama on Friday afternoon and evening. Isolated damaging winds up to 60 mph will be the main threat.
A Heat Advisory remains in effect for Southern and Western portions of Central Alabama through 9 PM tonight. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will create heat index readings up to 108 degrees. Wear lightweight, light colored clothing. Stay hydrated and avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the heat of the day.
Partly cloudy with isolated showers and storms. Hot with highs from the mid 90s southeast to around 100 west. Northwest winds 5-10 mph.
