There is a risk of a wintry mix, including freezing rain, affecting parts of Central Alabama this weekend. Still in question are how much of Central Alabama is affected and impacts. A shot of frigid air may also accompany this weather system. Check back for forecast updates. Preparations for impacts may become necessary.
Clouds will begin increasing overnight, especially across southern areas. Lows from the low 20s northeast in areas with less cloud cover to low 30s south and southwest where more clouds are expected.
Rain chances increase during the afternoon hours on Wednesday, especially across northwestern counties. Highs will be in the 50s in most areas, with a few low 60s possible in the south. Winds will increase, becoming southerly to southeasterly at 10-12 mph.
