Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible through early Wednesday morning across parts of northeast Texas into western Tennessee. Read More >

Just when we thought we were done with winter, Mother Nature throws a curve ball. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 6 AM MDT/ 7 AM CDT to 9 PM MDT/ 10 PM CDT Saturday for the Guadalupe Mts. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from the same time frame for Eddy and Gaines counties, the Davis Mts and foothills, and northern Lea County. Be careful on the roads!
Winter returns to the area this weekend, bringing cold temperatures and SNOW! Yes, you read that right, SNOW! Here are our current forecast snowfall totals. The highest totals are expected over the Guadalupe Mountains. It's important to note that with all the warmth we've had recently, these are NOT accumulation amounts! Still, be careful on the roads Saturday into Sunday and enjoy what could very likely be our last visit from Old Man Winter!
