Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Ashley County Straight-Line Wind Damage

Event Summary

A swath of straight line wind damage began near Highway 165 between Portland and Parkdale, Arkansas. Eight wooden power poles were snapped off to the east along Highway 165 just to the south of Portland. An outbuilding was flipped over to the east as well along Empire Road just inside Chicot County.
