Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Sharkey County Tornado

Event Summary

This brief tornado touched in an open field west northwest of Nitta Yuma then tracked east northeastward. It then crossed U.S. Highway 61 between the Nitta Yuma community and MS Highway 434. The tornado was captured on video as it crossed the highway. No damage occurred.
