Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Holmes/Carroll Counties Tornado #2

Event Summary

 

This tornado crossed through a rural area with no structures. Many trees were blown down along the path and a power pole was blown nearly to the ground along Highway 51. The tornado crossed Highway 51 about one half mile south of the Beatty Community...and downed hundreds of trees just southeast of the Beatty community as it tracked northeast. The rating on this tornado has been upgraded to EF-2 based on new information.
