Heavy Precipitation in the West; Wintry Mix in the North; Fire Weather in the High Plains

Pacific moisture will continue to bring locally heavy coastal/lower elevation rain and heavy mountain snow to the West Coast and portions of the Intermountain West through Monday. A wintry mix will create hazardous travel across the northern Plains and Upper Midwest into early Monday. Leflore County Straight Line Wind Damage

Event Summary

Straight line winds caused a swath of sporadic trees snapped and large limbs broken. Shingles were taken off of an old church on County Road 37, as well as off of a store on Highway 49. Three mobile homes lost skirting with one having the roof peeled off. Estimated winds were 75 mph with the swath being roughly 500 yards wide.

Event Summary

Straight line winds estimated to be 80 mph caused a power pole to lean. A home had half of the shingles torn off and the roof lifted. Damage to a shed also occurred.
