Summary: This tornado occurred in a very rural area with tree damage the only observed damage. Where the tornado crossed Hunt Road, tree damage was significant, with hundreds of trees snapped and uprooted.

Starting Point: 2 W Hope at 141 PM

Summary: Two homes with minor damage, one had a porch damaged and shingles were torn off the other. Two out buildings had their roofs blown off. This tornado touched down in the Hope Community, just southwest of the Pearl River Resort along County Road 151.

Starting Point: 4.5 WNW Prairie Point at 258 PM
Ending Point: 4 NW Prairie Point
Preliminary Rating: EF-1
Approximate Path Length: 1.5 miles
Maximum Width: 75 yards
Casualties: none
Summary: 5 power poles were taken down, 2 were snapped along Deerbrook Road. This was the only damage as there was nothing along the path for several miles around.

Approximate Path Length: 1 mile
Maximum Width: 40 yards
Casualties: none
Summary: A few trees had the tops blown off along with numerous limbs snapped and down along a portion of Hummer Loop.
Other Damage from Straight Line Winds:
Noxubee County: This occurred from the rear flank downdraft, about 2 miles south of the first tornado, from a long-lived supercell thunderstorm. A few trees were downed; one old shed was destroyed; and one building had the roof lifted and one wall partially collapsed.
Clay County: Substantial straight line wind damage occurred around West Point, especially on the east side of town. This damage occurred from the forward flank downdraft of a long-lived supercell thunderstorm. A construction trailer at the Wal-Mart was rolled over in the southward direction along with several trees snapped or limbs broken off. One injury occurred here. Along Highway 50, heading east out of town, several trees were snapped or had large limbs torn off. The most substantial damage occurred to a storage shed retailer. Half of the sheds were destroyed; a building was damaged by the debris; and several trees were snapped. A few power lines were also taken down. Winds estimated at 70-75 MPH.
Oktibbeha County: Survey crew followed the mesocyclone path across the county and found scattered trees and many large limbs down along the path.
