"Spring Severe Weather"

Severe Weather of March 1, 2007

Another powerful early spring storm system developed over the Central Plains and caused severe weather from the Midwest to the southeast United States. This severe weather event was quite significant as numerous tornadoes occurred with several of these of the strong variety (EF2 or EF3). Much of Mississippi was spared the worst as only 1 tornado occurred with just a handful of severe weather reports scattered about the state. The worst of the weather occurred across AL and GA where several significant tornadoes occurred.
