Storm Impacting the Northwest U.S.; Fire Weather Conditions in Southern California; Severe Weather in the South

A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. April 24, 2003 - West Carroll F2 tornado

This tornado touched down 5 miles NW of Epps, at 415 pm, in a field just to the west of Duckworth road. This tornado continued on the ground for 11 miles and lifted in the town of Floyd. Along its path a mobile home was totally destroyed. This occurred on Hunt road, just west of highway 17. On highway 17, a house was destroyed due to several trees laying in the house. This same location had minor damage to 2 mobile homes. In Floyd, 2 homes had their roofs blown off. These 2 homes is were 3 minor injuries were sustained. Hundreds of trees were snapped or uprooted along the path. The path width was 75 yards.
