Heavy rainfall from scattered thunderstorms is expected across the Southwest, Intermountain West, and Plains. Isolated dry thunderstorms may initiate additional fires across the west. While the more widespread severe weather is expected across southern Wisconsin, a few strong to severe storms are possible across the area this afternoon ahead of a cold front. The greatest threat will be across central and eastern portions of Wisconsin. The potential for strong storms will end by early-mid evening. The strongest storms could produce:
