An upper trough and frontal boundary will focus showers and thunderstorms across portions of the Plains through early Monday; A few severe thunderstorms along with heavy rainfall are expected. Meanwhile, low pressure off the Southeast Coast will bring inclement weather across the mid-Atlantic coast through Monday. We are currently looking for an Administrative Support Assistant to join our team! The following duties describe some of the Administrative Support Assistant responsibilities at our office:

Provides administrative support and guidance to employees in accordance with office leadership, including the organization and management of accurate time and attendance records, personnel actions, travel arrangement and documentation, and property asset acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
Helps schedule appointments, arrange meetings, and record minutes; coordinates service, and manages administrative logistics and procedures, following local, regional and national directives.
Maintains records and manages record disposal.

Initiates and monitors processing of purchase orders for recurring and nonrecurring service contracts, equipment, and supplies.
Represents leadership in monitoring budgets and expenditures, communicating needs with contractors and ensuring commitments, obligations, and requirements are met.

Collaborates with office leadership on quality assurance of external and internal communication, both verbal and written.

Act as a liaison with the National Weather Service (NWS) and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Administrative Support Offices on all administrative matters.

Participates with office teams and serves the office/agency mission to preserve lives and livelihoods through weather forecast support to important partners and customers.
