Regional Outbreaks of Severe Weather Through Early Next Week; Early Season Heat Wave across the South

Active spring pattern across the center of our nation with several episodes of severe weather and heavy rainfall expected into next week. The potential for very large hail, long track tornadoes, severe wind gusts, frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes and flash flooding are in the outlook. What: Wind chill readings of 25 below to 40 below zero are expected tonight through early Monday morning.

Where: Entire area, coldest wind chills across central and north-central Wisconsin.

Impacts: Frostbite can occur in as little 10 minutes. (see chart in tab below)

Actions: Cover all exposed skin. Wear several layers of clothing, hat, and gloves. Protect pets from the cold, make sure they have fresh water. Limit outdoor exposure if possible.

Be sure to prepare and dress appropriately for the cold!
