Another Round of Heavy Rain and Mountain Snow in California; Snow in the Great Lakes and Northeast

Another round of heavy rainfall will renew concerns for additional flash flooding and landslides in southern California around burn scars and coastal mountain ranges. A low pressure system is bringing enhanced snowfall downwind from the lower Great Lakes into the Northeast mountain ranges. It appears Memorial Day will be warm and humid with a small chance of thunderstorms across the far north. High temperatures will be in the middle 80s to lower 90s. A few sites could see the warmest Memorial Day on record if temperatures climb into the lower 90s. It will be considerably cooler near Lake Michigan.
