A Pacific storm is bringing areas of low elevation rain, moderate to heavy mountain snow, and high winds to the Northwest. Strong Santa Ana winds and very dry conditions are producing elevated to critical fire weather conditions in southern California. Overview
Isolated thunderstorms developed along a lake breeze and surface trough in eastern Wisconsin during the late afternoon of June 5, 2019. One storm became severe and produced hail up to tennis ball-size around Stephensville in Outagamie County. Wind gusts over 40 mph were also reported.
Hail
The atmosphere became moderately unstable as morning clouds dissipated. Wind shear was sufficient to produce rotating thunderstorms. One of those became a supercell and produced hail up to 2.5 inches in diameter.
