Public Information Statement National Weather Service Goodland KS 600 AM MDT Tue Oct 22 2024 ...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY... In 1995, snowfall of two to eight inches across the Tri State area was accompanied by winds 50 to 55 mph which caused drifts up to four feet. Roads and schools were closed. Thunder accompanied the storm. Visibility was one quarter mile or less for several hours. The storm caused traffic accidents and minor power outages. Snowfall amounts were six inches in Atwood, McDonald, and Goodland, while St Francis reported eight inches. A peak wind of 65 mph was measured near Brewster during the storm. $$
