Public Information Statement National Weather Service Goodland KS 600 AM MDT Wed Apr 16 2025 ...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY... In 2002, thunderstorms developed across the Tri State area. The thunderstorms produced strong outflow wind gusts of 60 to 65 mph from Sherman to Gove County. Due to dry conditions and recently plowed fields, the strong winds produced areas of blowing dust which limited visibilities to near zero along portions of Interstate 70. $$
