...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 2007, an intense microburst struck the town of McDonald Kansas 
around 730 pm with estimated 85 mph winds. Four power poles were 
snapped resulting in power outages in McDonald and Bird City. A 
trailer home was blown over and destroyed,  and a large storage 
building was also destroyed. Minor roof damage and downed tree 
limbs were also reported.
