Locally Heavy Rainfall for the Carolinas; Thunderstorms and Fire Weather Concerns for Intermountain West

Heavy rainfall from scattered thunderstorms is expected across the Southwest, Intermountain West, and Plains. Isolated dry thunderstorms may initiate additional fires across the west. The coastal Carolinas may experience flash floods in the coming days due to repeated thunderstorms. NWS La Crosse can accommodate requests for speakers or presentations for businesses, safety teams, civic groups, schools, etc. regarding severe weather safety, training, or recent weather events! Here are some details...

  • We'll do this anywhere within our local service area (including southeast Minnesota, northeast Iowa, and much of western Wisconsin)
  • Talks can range from 30-120 minutes depending on your group's needs.
  • Presentations are usually done using a computer multimedia format.
  • We can supply our own presentation equipment and brochures.
  • Talks are free (no charge).

NOTE: Due to varying NWS staffing levels, schedules, and budget/travel restrictions, speaker availability may be limited.
