Snow in the Rockies; Showers and Thunderstorms Along the Gulf Coast; Potential Winter Storm for Northern Mid-Atlantic and Interior New England

A winter-like pattern will continue over much of the Lower 48 over the next few days, with snow stretching from the Rockies today into the Middle Mississippi Valley on Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the Gulf Coast and Southeast on Monday. Areas of fog are likely into Saturday morning across much of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for much of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas for visibilities one quarter miles or less. Temperatures will hover near freezing across northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas with isolated areas of freezing fog possible. This may cause some slick spots on elevated surfaces for the morning drive on Saturday. Please use caution and slow down when driving through fog.
Temperatures rebound closer to normal today before another cold front moves through. Another brief warm up early next week before an additional cold front arrives. Precipitation chances remain low (10% or less) over the next 7 days.
