A widespread freeze remains a near certainty tonight and into Monday morning, with low temperatures forecast as low as 19 degrees in a few spots. A high chance of a hard freeze continues to exist in most areas, with continued medium to high potential for a local killing freeze. Take steps to protect outdoor plants, pets and faucets.
Gusty northwest winds continue across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas today with much colder air filtering into the region. Wind chills will likely remain in the 30s and 40s for most locations today. Wind chills then fall into the teens and 20s Sunday night into Monday morning, possibly in the single digits for a few locations.
There is a very low chance of sprinkles or flurries across far northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas this morning. No snow impacts are expected, however. The cold snap will be brief as temperatures warm back above average by mid week. Otherwise, predominantly dry conditions are expected through the work week. Low rain chances return this weekend.
