A rapidly-intensifying storm is expected to bring heavy snow, blizzard conditions, and icing from the Upper Midwest through the Great Lakes and Northeast. A strong cold front that moved through the region Sunday has brought sharply colder temperatures. Wind chill values Monday morning will be in the teens for most areas, with single digits across northern areas. Widespread wind chills in the teens will also repeat Tuesday morning. Dress in layers if you must be outside and make sure to prepare outdoor pets and animals for the cold.
Above normal temperatures and dry conditions are forecast to close out 2025 and ring in 2026.
