Another day of very warm temperatures, gusty southerly winds, and critically dry fuels will lead to enhanced or near critical grassland fire spread rates across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Highest spread rates occur across parts of northeast Oklahoma.
There is a Slight risk for severe thunderstorms across portions of northeastern Oklahoma and Marginal risk for severe storms across much of southeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas Wednesday afternoon and evening. Please continue to monitor the forecast as additional details become available.
Warm weather continues the next few days along with breezy conditions and fire weather concerns. Unsettled weather arrives late tonight and continues through next weekend. Multiple rounds of storms, with some severe weather and heavy rain potential, can be expected.
