Heavy rain will create mainly localized areas of flash flooding across the central Gulf Coast into the Appalachians. A marginal risk for severe weather is outlooked Friday afternoon and evening across portions of eastern Oklahoma. Locally damaging winds are the main threat, with a secondary threat of hail.
A marginal severe weather risk is outlooked across portions of northeast Oklahoma Saturday afternoon and evening. Damaging winds and large hail are the main severe risks.
Rain showers along with scattered thunderstorm chances continue across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas through Saturday with the greater potential during the afternoon and evening hours. A heavy rain threat which could lead to localized flooding concerns is the main threat, though an isolated severe potential exists for strong winds and hail.
