Severe Weather and Heavy Rainfall Potential for the Plains; Coastal Low Across the mid-Atlantic

An upper trough and frontal boundary will focus showers and thunderstorms across portions of the Plains through early Monday; A few severe thunderstorms along with heavy rainfall are expected. Meanwhile, low pressure off the Southeast Coast will bring inclement weather across the mid-Atlantic coast through Monday. Shower and thunderstorm will redevelop late tonight into Friday morning, highest concentration/chances across eastern OK, along and south of I-44. The storms will carry a marginal severe threat, with large hail (1" in diameter) and damaging wind gusts (60-65 mph) being the main threats. Moderate to heavy rainfall will also be possible.
An unsettled pattern will continue into next week with daily shower and thunderstorm chances. Temperatures will remain near to slightly above normal through the middle of next week.
