Derived Products The images in the table below are derived products that have been generated from the GOES-12 and -10 imager and sounder data. They have become instrumental to the operational forecaster in assessing the pre-storm environment and filling voids in data fields such as the Gulf of Mexico and Mexico. In addition, many of these products are now entered into the numerical models serving to produce more accurate forecasts. |

Satellite Derived Precipitation Estimates These products are developed by using the cloud top temperatures and an algorithm developed by the NOAA/NESDIS/STAR Flash Flood Team. |
