Severe Weather and Heavy Rainfall from the Midwest to the Ohio Valley; Mid-Summer Heat Continues

Severe thunderstorm and heavy rainfall threats will persist from the Midwest to Lower Great Lakes through Monday, shifting into the Ohio Valley and Central Appalachians Monday evening into Tuesday. March 4th Freezing Rain

 

 


 

 

Freezing rain began late in the evening during March 3rd and lasted through most of the morning of the 4th. Numerous trees were downed in Southeast Texas and some roadways closed during the event across the region. This winter weather event marked the 5th and final time frozen precipitation accumulated in the area during the winter of 2013-2014.
