The Storm Prediction Center has placed all of northeast Florida & southeast Georgia in a 'Marginal' risk (level 1/5) for severe thunderstorms on Sunday. In addition, they are now highlighting Monday (day 4) for severe storm risk across southeast GA and portions of northeast FL.
🍂Extreme drought continues across all of southeast Georgia, northeast and north central FL per the latest drought monitor. 🔥Multiple hard freezes this winter have dried available fuels and are combining with worsening drought conditions to increase the wildfire risk throughout our region. ⛈️ Widespread beneficial rainfall is possible Sunday into Monday. During a drought,💧conserve water, 🔥practice fire prevention and follow directions from local officials, especially if your county or municipality has been placed under a burn ban or water restrictions.
