.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...

A surface high will remain far north of the Hawaiian Islands

through the week. At 1100 AM, Hurricane Lowell was centered about

220 nm south-southwest of Kauai, and is moving towards the north-

northeast at 15 kt. Winds will gradually veer out of the

southeast to south with the strongest winds across the western end

of the state through Tuesday. A Hurricane Warning is in effect

for the coastal waters west of Kauai, and a Tropical Storm

Warning is in effect for waters elsewhere near Kauai and Oahu.
