.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
A surface high will remain far north of the Hawaiian Islands
through the week. As of 500 AM, Hurricane Lowell was centered
around 505 nm south-southwest of Kauai and is tracking north-
northwest at 5 knots. Lowell will turn more northward today,
which will cause winds across the coastal waters to gradually veer
out of the southeast to south with the strongest winds across the
western end of the state Monday into Tuesday. A Tropical Storm
Warning is in effect for the coastal waters around Niihau and
Kauai.
