Clear and Cooler Temperatures Across Much of the Eastern U.S.; Heavy Rain in Florida

A high pressure system is bringing mostly clear skies and cooler temperatures across much of the eastern U.S. to the Mid-South. A stationary front will produce thunderstorms and heavy rain across the Florida Peninsula to the immediate Southeastern coast. On May 12, 1995, the WFO Honolulu dedicated our facility at UH Manoa. Reverend William Kaina blessed the building, and then Pacific Region Director Richard Hagemeyer and UH Senior Vice President for Research and Graduate Education Dean O. Smith untied the maile lei.
