Heavy to excessive rainfall, and the potential for scattered flash flooding is forecast through midweek along portions of the Gulf Coast and into the Southeast. A Slight Risk (level 2 of 4) of Excessive Rainfall is in effect Monday and Tuesday.   • River Statements -Issued to describe river conditions during high water events which are not expected to exceed flood stage.
  • Hydrologic Outlook - Issued when there is potential for notable hydrologic events. Most often used to describe the possibility of flooding, with occurrence typically 24 hours or more into the future, but as little as 12 hours in some cases when near-term certainty is low.
