These strong winds demolished barns and sheds, unroofed buildings, tipped over house trailers, and uprooted trees in the Chatfield, Eyota, and Chester areas. Hailstones up to 1 1/2 inch in diameter fell northwest of Rochester damaging crops. Finally, minor damage was reported in the Winona area.
